To infinity and beyond!

Shaving cream fun

Zeki is having a lot of fun exploring new textures. He loves to slowly explore. Zeki loves to study the new textures and will sit for hours playing. However his brother, as you can see by the pictures, doesnt allow Zeki to sit for hours. Kebek enjoys new textures as well, but in different ways. Tasting it, putting it in his hair, throwing it, rubbing it on Zeki, etc.

Fun with paint =-)

The pictures pretty much speak for themselves. Take a close look at Zeki's plate. Very clean and neat.....And then take a look at Kebek.(his hair, his clothes, his hands, his plate, his area)
This pretty much describes the boys personalities and our days =-).

All about the boys

The boys are settled in their new home and surroundings. They enjoy our daily walks past the fruit stand, where they love touching his fruit and telling him hello, thank you, and good-bye in Russian. They have won over the ladies at the chocolate store, where they can't wait to see them and give them chocolate. Most are very loving towards the boys, and some stand in utter confusion. The boys pretty much run wild in opposite directions, roll around in the dirt, throw dirt at each other, play in leaf piles, and cause as much chaos as possible when we are out and about.
Zeki is continuing to show a lot of interest in reading, coloring, music, and loves hands on activities like play dough. He is counting to 20 in English, 10 in Spainsh, and repeats beautifully in Russian and French. His is really open to repeating and learning. Zeki knows his colors and has started telling us action phrases, like what is going on in a book. Zeki LOVES modes of transportation. In Ukraine we see trolley cars, buses, trucks, tanks, and many more modes of transportation daily. Zeki continues to recount and tell us about his airplane trip here, when we went to the train park in the USA and asks often if he can go on a bus or an airplane. Zeki has started to tattle on himself, its really cute.
Kebek is pretty much opposite of Zeki in terms of interest. Kebek doesnt like to sit for much of anything, unless it involves ketchup. Kebek's continued favorite word is, "no". Kebek does say "yes," but not often. Kebek continues to not be a huge fan of eating. Kebek however wakes up asking for chocolate. Kebek LOVES dark chocolate, not sweets with chocolate, but plain squares of dark chocolate. Kebek is always telling mommy to sit down and asks if he can sit in the corner rather than eating. Kebek is talking well. He counts a bit in whatever language you are counting in. Last week everything was yellow, and this week its Red. Kebek is a big family guy. Always wants us all together, and gets pretty sad if one is missing for anymore than 10minutes =-(.
Both the boys love cooking, bathing in buckets, and rough housing with daddy. Kebek finds anything and everything to jump off. They LOVE watching daddy "shoot." Zeki really likes the atmosphere of daddy's games, while Kebek is daddy's #1 fan. They "patiently" wait to shoot until the game is over. The boys love bouncing the basketball, running races, and soccer.
We will continue to update the blog as our adventures of Zeki & Kebek continue =-).
Blessings!
